A couple of years earlier a New York gallery owner had learned about me and my art. He got in touch and after a meeting in Copenhagen’s Marriott hotel I was formally invited for a residency and a solo show at his Brooklyn gallery. I spent over a month at his artist residency in New England preparing for the show that opened early September in Gallery Boreas. My work with Tora Victoria was put aside and I went back to my beloved abstract painting and let the place influence me. A year after the nine-eleven attack, my work were political in nature as well as highly influenced by the beauty of the late summer early fall in New England and New York.
