2015
The trip to Asia was a barrier-breaker . Getting out of the western cultural context allowed me to see things afresh. With that freshness I entered my first year at The Iceland University of the Arts. I was back in school. Being a veteran painter, my strategy was to try something new, so I decided to focus on all other mediums. Ahead lay some interesting and enjoyable times, experimenting in the University video lab, composing big installation in the halls, working in groups, performing and participating in happenings. I was having a ball and being around my fellow students, some of whom were quite young, was inspiring to say the least. It was at this first term at the University that SNART was born as a concept, something I would continue working on throughout the whole BA program period perpetuating in my BA thesis consisting and being a SNART project in it self.
SOME SCHOOL PROJECTS
I entered the University as TORA Victoria (something that was to stir some confusion later) and kept on my socio–political Arte–Vitae performances outside the University context.
