2009

Having lived in Iceland for over a year now, walking the streets of my little fishery town we Icelanders call the City of Reykjavik, I had stirred some emotions, moved some heads and sparkled attention. My Tora Victoria project was beginning to bear fruit. The media wanted to interview this weirdo. They used the rather negative term “klæðskiptingur” that might translate into Transvestite. The research into the existence and history of transgenderism and diving into my psyche went on.

Being the first individual to proudly crossdress the streets of little Reykjavik was newsworthy. Visir.is – a local news media headlining: “Icelandic transvestite comes fourth” d. 9th. March 2009
