2002
A couple of years earlier a New York gallery owner had learned about me and my art. He got in touch and after a meeting in Copenhagen’s Marriott hotel I was formally invited for a residency and a solo show at his Brooklyn gallery. I spent over a month at his artist residency in New England preparing for the show that opened early September in Gallery Boreas New York. My Tora Victoria project was put aside for now and I went back to my beloved abstract painting and absorbed the New York–New England ambience and the times into my paintings (it was the first anniversary of nine–eleven attacks).
