A solo exhibition at Gallery Listamenn in Reykjavik, this year. My first solo after some pause. I had needed the time of inertness. This year I was working mostly in oils and, of course, on the Tora Victoria project that was now fully materialized. By this time I had no idea where I was going with the TORA project, but antithetically I felt like I was on a straight path. In hindsight I can now see that the contradictions and the syzygies of the mirror concept were brewing heavily in my subconscious. And as always, I am working – consciously – following nothing, or at best, intuition that turns out to be logical and purposeful in the end – typical SNART.
